[He's by not much later, though he pauses by the doorway when he gets there, like he's listening.]
I saw you, you know. Two days ago...you were headed somewhere, but you stopped outside a building and looked in through the window for a long moment before moving on.
[He picks carefully towards George's counter. He was familiar enough with this apartment for the times he would come by, but people often discarded things on the floor without thinking about it.]
I...hm...I was on one of my walks. And then my mind was in one of the cameras of the shop across the way from you, even though I'd been a couple blocks from there at the time. The camera lens is not damaged, so I could see you and the section of road the camera was fixed on.
[He pauses and gives a tiny smile to the counter.]
[Some of the craziest things happen here, he thinks, pulling two Cokes out of the fridge and popping the top of one to pass over to Garner. He makes sure he has it before letting go.]
Blond, huh? [Laughing.] I seem dizzy to you?
[He pops his own can top and takes a swig.]
Gonna sit at the kitchen table since we's both right here an' I can lay me out a Solitaire game while we talk.
[He does better when he has something to do with his hands.]
[Garner take it and takes a drink off of it with the full trust George has earned....only for him o hold the liquid in his mouth a moment as he processes not-a-beer-in-fact-sweet and finally swallows the sip. Ah...the sugar bubble drinks...soda or coke or pop....he's not sure, it's a confusing mixture of information on the internet, but he recognizes it. Not his favorite, but he can sip at it...and appreciates it a bit more on the second sip.]
Sounds like a good plan. I hope you go easy on yourself.
[He can at least pick his way to George's table by memory easy enough and he settles himself on one side of it.]
What does being blond and being dizzy have to do with each other?
[He chuckles. Once Garner is settled, he settles too and starts to shuffle quickly.]
Dizzy blond? You ain't never heard that? I guess it's jes' a stereotype that blonds is a little dumber than everybody else. Ain't sure where it came from.
[No, that makes no sense, but he's not going to question George's culture all that much.]
I don't have the best imagination, I couldn't tell you exactly what I thought your face looked like, but for whatever reason, blond hair was a part of that.
Luckily, I know better now: you are very handsome and a brunette. You also seemed tired, but I am not especially surprised by that.
idk what happened to this tag :(
Escher is the name we're after. I think. I don't know what they're attributed to, but they might have a tie to the Spiral.

[And he'll have him something cold to drink waiting for him.]

Now, how'd you manage that? I've been shoppin' around for a new knife since I lost one recently in an investigation.
